The Atlanta based security company recently had its Annual Golf Tournament and fundraiser for a cause. The proceeds from the event that took place on Thursday, October 4th benefited Wellspring Living. This organization transforms the lives of youths affected by Domestic trafficking and sexual exploitation. This essential association created multiple programs to heal, house and educate individuals ranging from ages 12 to 32 who are survivors of the physical, emotional and spiritual tolls of sex trafficking.
The tournament took place at the Polo Golf and Country Club in Cumming, GA. There were over 100 participants and golfers. Ackerman had special games and prizes for each hole, and a wonderful assortment of trophies for the top players of the tournament. Even with all the fun the golfers had, they never lost sight of the amazing organization they were supporting.
At the end of the epic tournament and lunch, Ackerman provided a check for $5,000 extra for the Wellspring Living mission to the President and Founder Mary Frances Bowley. This "Real Security" Company, as their slogan mentions, wants to help Wellspring achieve their vision of creating a world where "every victim of sexual exploitation has access to transformative care.
"If companies keep working together to ensure that our youth thrive, all of our futures will be more secure," said Chris B., President of Ackerman Atlanta.
