AJC Celebrating Teachers Awards Dinner sponsored by Atlanta-based security company

On August 29th, 2018 Ackerman Security Systems sponsored and co-hosted the AJC Celebrating Teachers Awards Dinner! This event honored ten innovative metro-Atlanta teachers who make a difference in their student's lives by teaching necessary information in creative ways. Every teacher had been nominated by a student, fellow teacher or loved one who saw 1st-hand the impact these talented instructors have on their classes.

In an effort to highlight the need for school security, Ackerman aired a video featuring parents of survivors of the Parkland, Florida school shooting. A representative from Ackerman stated, "there is no greater importance than keeping our teachers and students safe while they are at school."

More than 200 public and private school teachers for grades kindergarten through 12 were nominated for the award. The winners were selected by a panel of three independent academic leaders, who represent local universities and Georgia's professional education standards.

These gifted educators create a positive learning environment by implementing new and exciting ways to teach the curriculum. By thinking outside of the box, these rock stars reach a diverse student population and keep their scholars engaged!
